The Department of Transportation has carefully marked off the lanes at the far west end of West Tenth Street, along the 150 Charles condos and townhouses. In this view looking west from Washington Street, the parking lane is at the right, the bicycle lane is in the center, and the traffic lane is at the left. The bus stop is also at the foreground left curb. The problem is that the trailer seen in the left lane, with mobile heat-providing utility equipment, has been parked there since early last November! There are no barricades or flashing lights to warn drivers or bikers. So, where do the cars go? Into the bike lane and parking lane! This dangerous scene was reported to the city, and just before publication, the trailer was removed, clearing the street for traffic.
