What’s Missing From This Post Office?

Our beloved local post office on Hudson Street has had some changes recently that leaves us scratching our heads in puzzlement. Can you guess what is missing that traditionally should be here?  Photo by Brian J. Pape, AIA.

ANSWER:

What’s missing at the post office? A mailbox, the big blue round-top type, has been in the left corner near the front doors forever, but recently has been removed. If you go there to mail something when the post office is closed, you used to be able to drop it in the mailbox. No more.
