After the construction process, Park-goers will be able to explore the marine science-focused playground that will be home to two larger-than-life fish: an Atlantic Sturgeon and Shortnose Sturgeon! Those who explore the Atlantic Sturgeon will find unique learning opportunities about fish anatomy, while the Shortnose Sturgeon will feature accessible, interactive play elements that teach about the Hudson River habitat. Students, educators and families throughout New York City will benefit from these wonderful HRPK additions.

During this season of giving, you and your loved ones can donate and name one of the 31 million oysters that live underwater in our 400-acre Estuarine Sanctuary and thrive in our Park! You can also give the gift of naming an oyster. We hope everyone who participates will name an oyster something special since the named oysters will be displayed on our website! You can ensure children will learn, play and be inspired by Hudson River wildlife in a magical and well-maintained environment.
