Dear Editor,
I tremendously enjoyed your inaugural issue. I am doing research involving the origins of community centered decision making, and I found the articles by Jacob Chen (Village block associations) and Arthur Schwartz (Elizabeth Street Garden and Julie Won) brought my research directly to the present day. The entire issue was a pleasure to read. All the best!

Dear Editor,
I wanted to comment on the The Village View. Bravo…I love it! I applaud your efforts in keeping it alive when so many local newspapers are going the way of the buggy whip or becoming only digital.
As an inveterate traveler and long-time Village resident, there is no place in the world like the Village and our residents deserve The Village View.

Dear Editor,
As an East Village resident of 37+ years, I was intrigued to come across the The Village View. There’s no other publication like it —I’ve learned so much about where I live! Your paper is chock-full of thoughtful and compelling articles.
My favorite was Joy Pape’s piece on local dog characters. When out walking and passing a variety of dogs and their guardians, I often wonder what their “stories” are! It was a treat meeting some of them through The Village View. Hopefully this will become a regularly recurring feature?
Thank you to you and your staff for all your efforts putting this thought-provoking paper together!

Dear Editor,
I am a long-time West Villager (16 years on Horatio Street). I was very happy to recently receive a copy of The Village View. I’ve always been a reader of WestView, but had grown dismayed about its recent hard right turn. The edition just prior to the election, especially, was hard to stomach. I like the new look and content, and wish you luck in your endeavor!

Dear Editor,
Congratulations on the new paper. Very much agreed with your editorial and concur with the thesis of a hyper local paper. We have lived in the West Village for 12 years now and have enjoyed WestView for all those years. The idiosyncrasies of George Capsis’ editing/writing style are what makes it. Please try not to iron out too many of those creases! (or at least understand his point of view and passion for the area was what made it so frequently compelling). If you can evolve those quirks into a new form that is as passionate, offbeat and singular then you will really be onto something.

Dear Editor,
We’re delighted to see a ‘refreshed’ WestView News…we’d love to see In & Out, our favorite column back in press, and possibly restaurant reviews, and perhaps a column on local politics in the village…best wishes in your continuing service to the community.
