Joy in the Moment

What do you Feed / Listen to / Agree with?

Have you ever noticed….

Years ago, when a salesperson knocked on your door, if you opened it and bought something, the salesperson came back to sell you more? These days, if you look something up online or give to an organization, guess what? You’ll hear from them again!

The same thing goes on in your mind. When you agree to ‘buy’ certain thoughts, those thoughts come back and can grow in your mind if you continue to ‘feed’ them. Thoughts can control your actions and how you feel.

How do you want to feel? Remember this, the more you think upon a thought, the more it grows within your mind. You can decide not to buy or feed those thoughts that don’t do you any good.

Please read this adapted ancient Native American story of Two Wolves and decide:

Once upon a time there was a grandfather who told his grandson, “Grandson, there is a battle between two ‘wolves’ inside us all. One is evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego. The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The grandson, with wide eyes asked, “Grandfather, which one will win?” The grandfather answered, “The wolf you feed.”

I hope you choose to feed the ‘good wolf’ within you. Doing so should bring you joy in the moment.
